It’s almost February. You know what that means—Valentine’s Day is almost here! If you need some great ideas for a romantic evening, read on!
Dinner – it may seem simplistic and cliché, but having a romantic dinner is one of the best ways to spend an evening with your significant other. It offers many things. First of all, it guarantees at least an hour to an hour and a half of date time. Second, unlike many events, you and your date get to talk to each other. Third, it gives you the chance to shine if you’re the one making the plans. You can pick out a great restaurant or even cook an incredible meal.
Spend an evening at home – this is especially nice for those of you who are always on the go. Simply create a romantic evening at home. Order in (don’t stress yourself by cooking), open a bottle of wine, pop in a movie, and just relax together. If you really want to crank up the romance, after the movie, take a long bubble bath together.
A walk in the park might sound like a chilly evening, but, if the weather permits, it can be a nice way of getting out and enjoying the night. After a stroll, head over to a coffee place to warm up and talk.
If you and your significant other have been together for a long period of time, re-create your first date. Go back to the same restaurant, watch the same movie (although you may have to watch it on DVD instead of in the theater), or do similar events. This can be a fun way of remembering how you got to know each other while creating new memories.
Stay overnight at a bed and breakfast or nice hotel. Sometimes, a change of setting can turn a normal evening into a romantic one. Staying overnight somewhere lends an air of newness to your evening, plus you don’t have to worry about cleaning up or anything like that. You also don’t have to worry about phone calls (and please, turn off the cells!).
